Last year we ranked 68 out of the top 100 companies due to our support of specific United Way agencies, including The Free Store Food Banks of Ohio, The Thank You Foundation (supporting veterans, service member and their families), The Hope Lodge, Tender Mercies and ProKids. We are proud to be among the LIVE United 100, the highest per capita giving companies with 10 to 500 employees and minimum combined giving of $10,000. The United Way appreciates our commitment, and we look forward to continuing our partnership as we all work toward improving the education, income and health of our community. LIVE UNITED!
And Paying It Forward
Giving back has been part of our Engineering Excellence culture since inception—it’s who we are and what we do. Whether it’s giving our time, talents or treasures, our employees make a difference both inside and outside of work with philanthropic efforts. See below for examples of how we reach out into the community to help others.
Every October, Engineering Excellence joins the UC Brain Tumor Center for the annual Walk Ahead for Brain Tumor Cure at Yeatman’s Cove at Sawyer Point in downtown Cincinnati. Support of this event helps to give hope, ensure progress, secure innovative research, and provide support to those affected by brain tumors in our community. Our company runs, walks and cheers to support the “Winstel Brain Trust Team” and this cause. For the last two years, we have had over 200 participants join our team. For race details, visit the web page http://www.walkahead.org/5k-walk-run. We hope you will join our Engineering Excellence family for this wellness event.
Giving back to the community and customer events for organizations like The St. Joseph Orphanage, The James Fund, The American Cancer Society, The Cedar Village foundation, Prevent Blindness Ohio, The OSU Wexner Medical Center, The Darke County Food Bank and People Working Cooperatively/Healthcare Friends. We look forward to doing more and expanding our outreach well into the future.
So, our staff (and family and friends) not only work to make our communities’ indoor environments comfortable, but also to make the community better by just stepping in and helping.
